Beads For Batase
Bethany Porten is an Incline Village local who’s senior year project is to go to Nepal and supply a rural Nepalese school with 8 computers. Bethany’s experience trekking in Nepal 2008 left her the desire to help the children of this emerging country.
Batase is a Tamang village in the rural Himalayas about 4 hours north of Kathmandu. Tamang people are a Buddhist ethnic minority and are typically hard-working with strong community bonds. At the moment, the school has 185 children, 9 teachers and no computers.
100% of your generous donation of $10, $20 or more makes this project possible.
